Set in lovely gardens near the centre of Addis, Monarch Hotel has the sense of being an oasis in the bustling city.

The 74 en-suite rooms are made up of single, standard, delux, delux studio, twin and junior suite. All rooms are designed in individual colours such as Golden Sand and Chocolate Oak, and all have TV, WIfi, minibar, safe, hairdryer, and tea and coffee making facilities. Monarch Café offers a selection of dishes from around the world. Lush Bar and Pizzeria is designed in Italian style and includes a brick pizza oven and a range of wines and cocktails. The main conference room can accommodate up to 80 pax; the boardroom can accommodate 15, and the 3 meeting rooms can each accommodate up to 35. The conference centre has Wifi and a dedicated team that can organise events and catering.

The swimming pool and sunbathing terrace are surrounded by tropical gardens. There’s also a gym with fitness machines, and a sauna and steam room. Regular events at the hotel are advertised in Addis and around, such as the piano nights three times a week, the live jazz on Thursday nights, and the acoustic band on Friday nights.
