About Sabana Beach Resort, Langano

On the shores of Lake Langano, Sabana Beach Resort has a beach at the foot of its lovely sloping gardens.

There are 25 en-suite bungalows in the gardens, comprising standard and family, and 4 family villas by the beach. All rooms have intercom telephone, minibar and veranda overlooking the lake. The resort centres on its huge round restaurant, with multiple windows to maximise the views; inside there are gift shops, coffee ceremony, display cabinets of traditional tools, and plenty of seating. The menu has Ethiopian cuisine, and a selection of dishes including Bismarck steak, fish from the lake, cordon blue and chicken curry, and serves an assortment of pizzas including make-your-own. The bar has an original cocktail list, and international spirits and beers.

The lakefront is lined with sunbeds, tables and chairs, and has a swimming area with waterslide, a children’s playground and a thatched bar. Also on the beachfront, there’s canoeing, mountain biking, beach volleyball, beach soccer, table tennis, and board games. O’AA Wellness Centre, near the lake, has a menu of treatments including Swedish massage, head and shoulder massage, facial, manicure and pedicure, and has a sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi. Activities include trips to Lake Shalla and Abjiata National Park, which has lovely views, wildlife and birdlife.
