About Liesak Resort, Bishoftu

On Lake Babogaya, Liesak Resort has lovely views across the water and plentiful secluded spots from which to soak up the views. The resort is on several levels, with attractive gardens sloping down to the waterfront.

There are 45 en-suite rooms, made up of delux, twin, luxury, family, and connecting family rooms. All rooms have TV, minibar and toiletries, and can have an extra bed if required. The restaurant serves Ethiopian cuisine and a selection of international dishes including chicken wings in honey, pepper steak, fish goulash, and chicken with avocado. The hotel welcomes visitors to stop for lunch on their way to the south and east of Ethiopia. The bar, on stilts over the lake, is adorned with boating décor, high bar stools and plays chilled music.

The swimming pool, with poolside steam room and sauna, overlooks the lake. The children’s crèche is supervised, and has plenty of activities and toys. The spa has hair salon, manicure, pedicure and exercise machines, and is adorned with rose petals. There are three conference halls, one of which is on the lakefront, and meetings, parties, barbeques and functions can all be arranged. The resort has ATMs on site. Activities include swimming in the lake, and boat trips. Bishoftu, also known as Debre Zeit, is only 50km from Addis, and is a resort town popular with Addis residents, known for its five crater lakes.
