About Caravan Hotel, Addis Ababa
On the fringe of the Bole district of Addis, Caravan Hotel is a family-run and friendly hotel priding itself on offering the personal touch.
There are 37 en-suite rooms, made up of standard, twin and delux, on five floors. All rooms have dressing table, cupboard, hair dryer, TV with international channels, safe, intercom telephone, alarm clock, drinking water and a useful folder of information about Addis and its surrounds. Wheelchair and baby cot are available; Wifi and laundry service are on offer.
The restaurant, on the first floor, serves Ethiopian dishes, and soups, pizzas, pastas, burgers and sandwiches, and also a kids’ menu. The adjacent bar has a selection of international drinks, and is adorned with paintings of Ethiopian scenes. The meeting hall, also on the first floor, is equipped with LCD TV, flip chart stand and projector, and has a balcony for tea and coffee break. The gift shop, in the reception, sells local arts, crafts and clothes.
Sister company, Agesha Tours, is also on site and offers a car hire and tour operator service. Bole, which stretches from Bole International Airport to Meskel Square, is considered the most upmarket district of Addis, and has some of the finer restaurants, malls, shops and nightlife.
