This tall cream building towers over Mekele. This welcoming town is the gateway to both the Tigrey Region with its extraordinary rock churches, and the Afar Region with Danakil Depression, Asale salt lake and Erte Ale volcano.

There are 120 en-suite rooms in the main building and 64 in a separate building, comprising singles, twins, doubles, and suites with single and double beds and living area. All rooms are furnished with fridge, safe, hat stand, TV, desk, armchairs and coffee table, and all are equipped with Wifi, intercom telephone, dressing gowns, kettle, drinking water, teas, coffees and a selection of toiletries.

The central reception area is flanked by restaurant and bar and adorned with chandeliers. The restaurant has a cosmopolitan menu of dishes from around the world, including consommé Andalouse, Philadelphia pepper pot soup, chateaubriand, chicken flambé and crème caramel. The bar has a selection of international wines, liquors, cocktails and soft drinks.

The heated swimming pool is in a glass-roofed building across the manicured garden. Barber, steam, sauna, Jacuzzi, massage and spa treatments are upstairs; a large fully equipped gym is downstairs. A professional trainer is onsite, and the studio, which offers aerobics classes, has sound system, TV and fitness equipment. The conference centre has 3 fully equipped meeting rooms, for between 15 and 1,000 pax, and also offers weddings and events. Services include laundry, dry cleaning, ATMs and money exchange services.
