This large hotel is set in spacious grounds on the outskirts of Lalibela.

The 100 en-suite rooms are located in a collection of 2-floor stone buildings and 65 bungalows. All the rooms were designed to suit the architecture of Lalibela, and offer views of the valleys and mountains around the town. The central building is a stone construction, with arches leading onto a terrace. The hotel has a collection of bars and restaurant in its compound, serving Ethiopian cuisine and some international dishes, as well as local and imported beers, wines and spirits. The spa has a heated swimming pool, a sauna and a steam room, and offers massage treatments. The hotel has 4 meeting rooms with audio-visual equipment, and regularly organises events like movie nights.

Lalibela is the jewel in the crown of Ethiopia, the site of the most famous churches and the scene of many major religious ceremonies. The churches have been active for 900 years, and there are over 600 priests and deacons. The churches, arguably Ethiopian’s top attraction, are carved below ground level and ringed by trenches and courtyards, and are connected to each other by a tangled maze of tunnels and passages.
